EDP Renewables (Euronext: EDPR), a global leader in the renewable energy sector and the world's third-largest wind energy producer, has been awarded second place in the 2011 MyBrand Reputation Index, an annual brand reputation ranking carried out in Portugal by the consultancy MyBrand. For the second year running, the company has achieved a top five position in the ranking, having received special recognition for three of the attributes assessed: innovation, citizenship and workplace.

The Index rates the company's reputation, assessing the way in which it is perceived by the general public and by private investors. In 2010, the ranking was focused on companies listed on the PSI20, the blue chip index of the Euronext-controlled Lisbon Stock Exchange. For this second edition of the MyBrand Reputation Index, 44 of Portugal's largest companies were evaluated by 2,923 Portuguese participants.

The ranking is based on seven reputation-related attributes: economic and financial performance; quality of products and services; management leadership; workplace; ethics; social responsibility; and innovation.

Raquel Mendes, Head of Marketing, Communications and Brand at EDP Renewables, said: "We are delighted that private individuals and EDPR investors have granted us this honour. This is excellent acknowledgement of the effort we make every day to be percieved as a leading company."
