Warsaw, 30 June 2016: EDP Renewables, the world's fourth-largest wind energy producer, has announced today that EDPR Poland has been named Wind Energy Company of the Year at the CEE Clean Energy Awards. The Clean Energy Awards, now in their fourth edition, recognise its excellence in operations, boldness in strategy, and the most innovative leadership among clean energy producers, suppliers and distributors in Central and Eastern Europe. João Manso Neto, EDP Renewables CEO, said, “we are genuinely delighted at being awarded this prize, which recognises our commitment at EDPR Poland to innovation and achieving excellence in our operations. This prize underpins our consistent focus on offering our clients the highest quality". EDPR entered the Polish market in 2007 following its acquisition of a major portfolio of wind energy projects under development. Headquartered in Warsaw, EDPR is currently the largest operator in the Polish market. It currently operates an installed capacity of 468 MW in the country.
