EDP Renováveis established new institutional partnership structure for 101 MW

EDP Renováveis, S.A. ("EDPR"), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, has closed $114 million of institutional equity financing from MUFG and another institutional investor, in exchange for an interest in the 101 MW Amazon Wind Farm US Central project (Timber Road III).


Madrid, December 14th 2016: EDP Renováveis, S.A. ("EDPR"), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, has closed $114 million of institutional equity financing from MUFG and another institutional investor, in exchange for an interest in the 101 MW Amazon Wind Farm US Central project (Timber Road III).

The project is located in the state of Ohio and has previously secured a long-term Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") with Amazon Web Services, Inc. ("AWS"), an Amazon.com company.

The institutional partnership structure established enables an efficient utilization of the fiscal benefits to be generated by the project.
