EDPR concludes €0.3 billion asset rotation deal for Brazilian wind farms

Madrid, February 12th 2020: Following the information released to the market on July 29th 2019, EDP Renováveis, S.A. (“EDPR”) announces the completion of the sale of its full equity shareholding in an operating onshore wind project with 137 MW of installed capacity, to an affiliate of Actis, for a total consideration of R$598 million (equity value; corresponding to an enterprise value of R$1.2bn or €0.3 billion).

In detail, Babilonia 137 MW wind farm is located in the state of Bahia, Brazil, and has been in operation since 4Q 2018. The project, which was fully owned by EDPR, was awarded a 20-year PPA in the LER 2015 auction.

The deal concluded today is part of the asset rotation program for 2019-22 period contemplated in the Strategic update announced in March 12th 2019.
