EDPR informs about PPAs secured for wind projects in Spain
Madrid, May 2nd 2023: EDP Renováveis, S.A. (“EDPR”) has secured long term virtual Power Purchase Agreements (“PPAs”) with the global fashion retailer Inditex, to develop a 54 MW portfolio of wind projects in the region of Galicia, Spain.
The portfolio consists of two projects totalling 54 MW that could potentially scale up linked to environmental approvals. The projects are expected to enter in operation by 2025 and 2026.
EDPR's success in securing new PPAs reinforces its low-risk profile and growth strategy based on the development of competitive projects with long-term visibility, fostering the acceleration of the energy transition and the decarbonization of the economy.
