Madrid, February 26th, 2018: EDP Renováveis, SA (“EDPR”), through its fully owned subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, secured a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) with Great Plains Energy to sell the energy produced by 200 MW from Prairie Queen wind farm.

Prairie Queen wind farm is located in the Allen County, Kansas. Start of operations are expected for 2019.

With this new arrangement EDPR will expand its footprint in Kansas to a total of 600 MW and already secured 1.5 GW of long-term agreements in the US, for projects to be installed in 2016-2020, implying 82% of the 1.8 GW of target capacity additions in the US for the period, as announced at EDP Group Capital Markets Day in May 2016.

EDPR will continue to execute its growth strategy based on the development of competitive projects with long-term visibility.
