Resignation of member of the Board of Directors

Madrid, September 24th 2012: In accordance with paragraph a) of article 3 and no. 1, paragraph a) of article 7 of CMVM Regulation no. 5/2008, EDP Renováveis, S.A. ("EDPR" or "Company") hereby informs that Mr. Luís de Abreu Castello-Branco Adão da Fonseca has presented, by letter addressed to EDPR, his resignation from member of the Board of Directors, due to personal reasons. Following his resignation Mr. Luís de Abreu Castello-Branco Adão da Fonseca also ceases his position in the Executive Committee.

EDPR would like to thank Mr. Luís de Abreu Castello-Branco Adão da Fonseca for all his dedication and valuable contribution to the Company.
