Madrid, 3 April 2017: EDP Renewables (Euronext: EDPR), a global leader in the renewable energy sector and one of the largest wind energy producers in the world, has succeeded once again in being placed in the Top 10 companies in this year’s Best Work Places awards, during the fifteenth Best Work Place award ceremony on the 30th March.

Great Place to Work presented the prizes to the fifty best companies to work at included in the list of the Best Work Places in Spain 2017. The ranking names the Best Places to Work each year, according to their employees’ opinions and HR policies and practices. In this edition, the consultancy analysed 308 companies of various sizes and from a range of sectors. EDP Renewables was tenth place within its category, (companies between 250 and 500 employees in Spain) and continues to be the only energy company among the candidates.

As well as this, they gave special mention to the managers of some of the companies who were present: among them, “Brand Ambassador, Great Place to Work” was awarded to Estrella Martin, HR Director for EDP Renewables, for her trust in the work model and being a faithful champion of the qualities that each company needs to become an Excellent Place to Work. “It is an acknowledgement of the effort we have put into developing our entire HR team over the past nine years. We have started to build a house from the most basic foundations. That GPTW considers EDPR and me as ambassadors, can only mean that we are going down the right path”, added Estrella Martin.

The ceremony took place in La Quinta del Jarama in Madrid and was attended by more than 700 professionals.
